Rich, sweet and floral. The flower of flowers; a scent that opens your heart again.
πΈ Floral Β· the heart Β· hair & skin
Ylang Ylang, literally 'flower of flowers', is distilled from the star-shaped yellow flowers of the tropical ylang-ylang tree on Madagascar. The flowers are hand-picked and distilled within 24 hours, so the full, sweet aroma is preserved. In Indonesia the petals were scattered on the bed of a newly married couple; you'll find the scent in the most famous perfumes in the world.
Popular in perfume and hair care, for example diluted with a little Fractionated Coconut Oil as a conditioner. The aroma is surprisingly complex: sweet and fresh on top, warm and creamy underneath.
And then the feeling: Ylang Ylang is the oil of the heart. When life turns hard and businesslike, we close our heart a little; we grow more careful, more guarded, more tight. This warm, sweet scent invites you to open again, towards softness, towards pleasure, towards love for yourself and for the people around you. A scent that reminds you that you're allowed to enjoy things too.
Ylang Ylang has a surprisingly complex aroma: sweet and fresh on top, warm and creamy underneath. That's why it works both uplifting and calming, depending on the moment.
